Who we are
Frontsprout (ABN 88 471 297 764) is a website design studio based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. In this policy, “Frontsprout”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that business.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). To contact us about privacy, call or text 0423 900 530 or use the contact form.
What we collect
When you order a website, we also collect your chosen package and payment plan, project approvals and change requests, and a record of your agreement acceptance (version, date, IP address and browser).
We only collect what we need. Depending on how you use the site:
- Contact form: your name, business name, email, phone number (optional), website (optional) and your message.
- Website brief: the details you choose to give us to plan and build your website, such as your business details, contact details, services, prices, opening hours, text, and any logos, photos or documents you upload. Please only upload material you own or have permission to use, and never enter passwords or payment card details.
- Free website check: the website address you enter. We fetch that public web page to produce your result; we don’t save the address unless you then ask us to follow up. If you request a preview or a call, we collect your name, business name, phone, email and preferred contact time.
- Calls, texts and emails: whatever you choose to tell us when you contact us directly.
- Technical information: our hosting provider processes standard technical data (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver and protect the website.
You can browse the site without giving us any personal information. We don’t collect sensitive information and ask that you don’t send it.
How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and give you a quote or proposal;
- to plan, build, host and look after your website if you become a client;
- to send invoices and keep business and tax records;
- to keep the website secure and working properly.
We don’t sell, rent or trade personal information. Sending an enquiry does not sign you up to marketing. If we ever send you marketing, you can opt out at any time.
Storage and security
Your private project page uses a long, random link instead of a password. Anyone with that link can see and manage your project, so keep it private and only share it with authorised people. Contact us if you believe the link has been shared without your permission.
Form entries and files are kept in private, access-controlled cloud storage that only Frontsprout can open. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), password-protected access and limit access to what is needed.
We keep enquiries for up to two years if you don’t become a client. For clients, we keep project and billing records for as long as we provide services and then for seven years, as required for tax purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete it. You can ask us to delete your enquiry or brief at any time.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Contact us using the details below. We’ll respond within 30 days and won’t charge you for making a request.
Questions and complaints
If you have a question or a complaint about how we’ve handled your personal information, call or text 0423 900 530 or use the contact form. We’ll acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
